Homegrown Hope
Welcome to 5 Oaks Farm, where Adam and Jenny Wainwright are cultivating more than crops—they’re growing a vision rooted in faith, community, and stewardship.
Nestled in the fertile south Georgia soil outside Brunswick, the farm is a blossoming haven of pecans, fruit orchards, berries, and vegetables, all grown using regenerative, sustainable practices.
Feeding Brunswick & Beyond
Brunswick is a coastal Georgia city and a food desert where nearly one in three residents live in poverty, and hundreds of families go without enough to eat each week—even though local food relief organizations are working tirelessly to meet growing demand.
At 5 Oaks Farm, we’re planting a different kind of harvest: fresh, nutritious food that nourishes bodies and builds community resilience. Our vision? A future where no family in Brunswick (or nearby Jesup) has to worry about their next meal—a future we can grow together.
We match your donations to feed the bodies, hearts, and minds of our neighbors through partnerships with local schools, colleges, and nonprofits.

THE 50 IN 5OAKS
The inspiration for the name 5 Oaks comes from Adam’s years with the St. Louis Cardinals wearing #50. As a pro athlete, his commitment to healthy eating was always practical and purposeful.
He learned firsthand that a strong body and clear mind start with what you feed them. Whether you’re an athlete or not, the same truth applies: eat food that helps you show up as your best self. At 5 Oaks, that’s what we’re growing.

GROWING EDUCATION
Connecting students to purpose, and communities to possibility
Our partnerships with the Golden Isles College & Career Academy (GICCA) and the College of Coastal Georgia provide hands-on learning pathways for students. Through internships, service-learning projects, and volunteer days, students develop practical skills in farming, food systems, and community engagement. These opportunities prepare them for future careers while strengthening the connection between the farm and the broader Brunswick community.
5 Oaks Farm has been an amazing partner to the Golden Isles College and Career Academy for many years. This partnership gives our high school students the opportunity to work on “real world” projects that benefit both the farm and our trades programs. Field trips to the farm have allowed students to see the commercial applications of sustainable farming practices. In addition, As with any active farm, there are always projects and repairs to be made. Our welding students have helped maintain equipment such as trailers and even helped build a mobile chicken coop. Through generous financial contributions from the farm and its owners, the Career Academy has been able to upgrade and maintain current equipment and purchase new equipment, ensuring the programs we offer provide the best in career education.

Five Oaks Farm has been exceptional in bridging the gap between urban agriculture and modern farming methods. Through its innovative approach and commitment to agricultural education, the farm offers students a unique opportunity to experience agriculture firsthand. Students from the Agriculture Class actively participate in planting crops and learning about sustainable practices. By connecting classroom knowledge with real-world application, Five Oaks Farm plays a crucial role in advocating and advancing agriculture for Glynn County students.
Deandre Alston, GICCA Faculty Member, Agriculture Department
As a professor of Environmental Science at the College of Coastal Georgia, I am always looking for ways to connect classroom learning with meaningful, real-world experiences. Our partnership with Five Oaks Farm has been one of the most impactful opportunities I’ve been able to offer my students.
In ENVS 3200: Environmental Communication, students learn how to share complex environmental messages through photography, video, and storytelling. Five Oaks has opened its gates and its wisdom to my students, giving them the chance to apply these skills in a truly authentic setting. On the farm, students capture images of the fields and produce, record sustainable farming practices, and craft polished media pieces that both showcase their talents and highlight the farm’s commitment to regenerative agriculture.
This partnership doesn’t just benefit the students. Their work amplifies Five Oaks’ story and helps spread the word about the farm’s deep connection to sustainability and the local community. It’s a reciprocal relationship in the best sense. Students gain professional experience, and Five Oaks gains fresh, creative voices to help share its mission.
In 2025, our collaboration was recognized with Service-Learning awards from the College’s ENDEAVOR Center for High Impact Practices, an honor that speaks to the power of what can be achieved when education and community grow together.
I am deeply grateful to Five Oaks Farm for their generosity, mentorship, and dedication to teaching the next generation of environmental leaders.

Impact Partners
We’re only as strong as our community. And, we have an amazing community of partners. Here’s just a couple of organizations who make what we do possible.
Distribution Partners
For years, we’ve partnered with Sparrow’s Nest (by FaithWorks) to share our farm-fresh food with neighbors in need. By supporting trusted local charities, we help ensure the right foods reach the right families.
Non-Profit Partners
Adam Wainwright and his brother, Trey, founded Big League Impact in 2013 to help professional athletes and their communities support basic human needs, such as food, clean water, medical care, shelter, and education, to save lives, restore dignity, and instill hope. They allow us to collect donations specifically for our community service work.
